The menu of the Mercer restaurant has been directed by Chef Rafa Zafra, gastronomic advisor of the Mercer Barcelona. Zafra is restaurant "Estimar" Chef and owner (awarded as the Best New Restaurant in Barcelona in 2016 by the prestigious Macarfi Guide) and chef of "Heart Ibiza" (the project of the Adrià brothers and the Cirque du Soleil).
The Mercer restaurant proposal is based on the traditional Catalan cuisine and its local products: Peas and sea cucumbers, bread bean with shrimp and Catalan sausage, traditional roasted cannelloni, cod with garlic muslin, scorpion fish “suquet” or roasted lamb from the Montseny, are some of the local gastronomic dishes. Typical Catalan recipes with an impeccable presentation and accompanied by a wide selection of wines, to delight your senses.
The Restaurant offers private or intimate spaces for events or meetings. These are uniquely set within the historical surroundings of the ancient city walls, including an original Roman defense tower with XII century frescos.
The Mercer also provides the gourmet Mercer breakfasts, for guests to start the day in the most delicious way, with a wide selection of a la carte dishes, cooked to order.
